Dotmatics has hired Mariana Vaschetto to serve as vice president of business development and marketing for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
Prior to joining Dotmatics, Vaschetto held senior scientific marketing and sales roles at Accelrys, Gene Logic, and CambridgeSoft (now PerkinElmer).
Selventa has tapped William Hayes to serve as its senior vice president of platform development.
Before joining the company, Hayes was the director of decision support and literature informatics for research and development IT at Biogen Idec. He has also worked in the bioinformatics departments at AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline.
Hayes received his BS in aerospace engineering and a PhD in applied biology and bioinformatics from Georgia Institute of Technology.
