NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Thermo Fisher Scientific will be transferring laboratory equipment manufacturing operations from a facility in New Hampshire to North Carolina, the company said.

As a result, 109 positions at the Newington, NH, facility will be eliminated, though 110 jobs will be added to the Asheville, NC, plant, a Thermo Fisher spokesman confirmed. The jobs are being added to help build a new line of temperature controls for scientific equipment.
