NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – The Translational Genomics Research Institute has received a $50,000 donation from a Phoenix, Ariz.-based foundation focused on funding advanced-stage breast cancer research, TGen said Wednesday.

TGen said that the funding from the Marilyn B. Gula Mountains of Hope Foundation will go toward hiring a bioinformatician to work on the institute's Molecular Characterization of Circulating Tumor Cells Project, and that the funding was matched with other donations to the TGen Foundation.
