Red clover

A team of researchers from the Genome Analysis Center and elsewhere has sequenced the genome of the red clover, a crop used in sustainable agriculture.

Through comprehensive genomic profiling, researchers identified molecular events that cause lower grade gliomas to progress to more deadly forms of brain cancer.

The method, developed by researchers at the NIH and their colleagues, could be useful to analyze rare cell populations and clinical samples with very small numbers of cells.

The partners will collaborate on solid and liquid tumor diagnostics on Vela's Sentosa NGS-based diagnostic platform, which Gustave Roussy recently implemented.

The firm's clinical data showed comparable performance between NIPT by microarray and NGS, but the switch to arrays has helped speed turnaround times.
