Sigma-Aldrich, Gene Oracle Sign Supply Agreement

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Sigma-Aldrich will supply oligonucleotides to the synthetic biology company Gene Oracle, and the companies will partner in co-marketing efforts, Sigma-Aldrich said today.

Customers will use the Sigma-Aldrich oligonucleotides to create synthetic genes in tandem with Gene Oracle's GeneIOS gene sequencing software. The process will allow researchers to generate custom synthetic genes within a single day, Sigma-Aldrich said.

The agreement makes Sigma-Aldrich Gene Oracle's exclusive oligonucleotide supplier.

Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
