Sigma-Aldrich Acquires RTC

By a GenomeWeb staff reporter

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Sigma-Aldrich announced after the close of the market on Monday that it has acquired all the assets of Resource Technology Corporation.

The Laramie, Wyo.-based company provides analytical standards and certified reference materials. In a statement, Sigma-Aldrich said the acquisition strengthens its analytical chemistry offerings, a key goal in the company's strategy to grow its sales.

In late December, Sigma-Aldrich acquired Cerilliant, a Texas-based analytical reference standards company. Today's deal complements that purchase, Sigma-Aldrich said.

Financial and other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
