NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Private investment fund StoneCalibre today announced the acquisition of DNA sequencing consumables firm Edge Biosystems for an undisclosed amount.

Based in Gaithersburg, Md., EdgeBio manufactures and distributes sample preparation and clean-up products for DNA sequencing. Its products are used in clinical and diagnostic laboratories, food testing, molecular medicine, ancestry studies, and other applications. The company was founded in 1990.
