Stan Lapidus, current chairman and former CEO of Helicos BioSciences, has joined the board of T2 Biosystems. The company is developing a portable medical diagnostic tool based on miniaturized magnetic-resonance technology.
 

 
Linda Rubinstein, former CFO of Solexa, has joined the board of Sensorin, a company developing a self-calibrating pH-measurement platform. She is also a principal of RDJ Advisors.
 

 
Bijan Salehizadeh has been promoted to general partner of Highland Capital Partners, a venture capital firm that has invested in Helicos BioSciences. He joined the firm in 2004 as a senior associate. Salehizadeh holds an MD in medicine from Columbia University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in health policy from Columbia University, and an AB in molecular biology from Princeton University. He represents Highland on the board of OpGen.
 

 
Mark Sutherland has joined GenVault as senior vice president of business development. He comes to GenVault from the discovery systems business unit of GE Healthcare, where he was vice president of strategic alliances. Earlier, he was vice president of genomics at Amersham Biosciences, which was acquired by GE Healthcare. He also held sales and marketing management positions at Molecular Dynamics and Applied Biosystems. Sutherland has a BS in chemistry from Stanford University.
