Fluidigm has released SlingShot assays for the absolute quantification of single-stranded DNA for next-generation sequencing. SlingShot kits, which run on the company’s BioMark Real-Time qPCR system, use digital PCR assays to detect only amplifiable molecules within the sample mixture. SlingShot kits for a 454 shotgun library assay and a 454 MID library assay are currently available. Kits for a Solexa library assay and a SOLiD library assay are in development.
