Qiagen has hired Tadd Lazarus as chief medical officer. He will be responsible for Qiagen's overall medical strategy, including assessing and advancing the firm's diagnostic assay portfolio and clinically evaluating new diagnostic tests. He was previously chief medical officer and vice president of clinical affairs at Gen-Probe, which is now part of Hologic.
