Leroy Hood has been appointed to the scientific advisory board at Strategic News Service's Nutritional Microanalysis Global Initiative. Hood is the President and founder of the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle. Additionally, he has played a role in founding more than 14 biotechnology companies, including Amgen and Applied Biosystems. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the Institute of Medicine.
