Brett Tyler will join Oregon State University in December as director of the Center for Genome Research and Biocomputing (see news brief here). He is currently a professor at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute at Virginia Tech.
From 2004 until 2011, he was a guest professor at Nanjing Agricultural University and from 2009 until 2011, a guest professor at the Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University in Yangling, both in China. Tyler holds a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Melbourne.
