Mario Caccamo has joined the Genome Analysis Centre in Norwich, UK, as head of bioinformatics. Until recently, he worked at the European Bioinformatics Institute where he helped design and implement the European Genome-Phenome Archive.

Biomatrica has appointed Marylinn Munson as vice president of business development and Omoshile Clement as marketing manager.

Munson most recently was director of global sales operations at Illumina. Previously, she worked at Agilent Technologies, Nanogen, Amersham Pharmacia Biotech, and Molecular Dynamics. She holds a BA in chemistry from the University of Oregon.

Clement also joins Biomatrica from Illumina, where he was a senior product manager for informatics, systems, and software. Previously, he held management positions at Bio-Rad's informatics division and at Accelrys. Clement holds PhD and MS degrees in chemistry from Queen's University in Canada and a BS in chemistry from University of Ibadan in Nigeria.
