Premium

Rubicon Genomics has launched its ThruPlex-FD sample-prep kit for next-generation sequencing, PCR, and microarray testing.

ThruPlex-FD is a single-tube, three-step process that prepares DNA in two hours with 15 minutes of hands-on time, enabling 192 samples to be prepared in one day, according to the company. As little as 50 picograms of input DNA is needed.

It is currently available as 48-reaction, 12-index kits for sequencing on the Illumina HiSeq, MiSeq, and Genome Analyzer instruments.
