New Products: Illumina's BaseSpace Apps; Broad's GenomeSpace


Illumina has launched BaseSpace Apps, an application store for its cloud computing platform BaseSpace that will make available bioinformatics solutions for Illumina sequencing data. were named as initial application development partners.

Researchers from the Broad Institute have released GenomeSpace, a software environment that connects genomic analysis tools. Currently, it connects six tools: GenePattern, Galaxy, Integrative Genomics Viewer, Cytoscape, Genomica, and the UCSC Genome Browser.
