CLC Bio and Korilog have released KLAST software plug-in for sequence similarity search in next-generation sequencing data. The plug-in can be combined with CLC Genomics Workbench or CLC Main Workbench bioinformatics platforms. KLAST is a sequence similarity search tool, and according to the company is 25 times faster than the current standard BLAST tool.
