New Products: CLC Bio and SciEngines' NGS Data Alignment Solution

CLC Bio and SciEngines have integrated CLC Bio's sequence analysis software and SciEngines' FPGA-based RIVYERA computers, to enable real-time alignment of next-generation sequencing data. According to the companies, the combined solution can find exact matches between sequences at a speed of 11.5 trillion cell updates per second per server, which is about 3,000 times faster than a 3.0 GHz CPU thread. The combination is available in a beta version.
