New Products: Appistry's CGA Suite; PacBio's SMRT Analysis v2.1; IDT's Blocking Oligos

Appistry has expanded its Cancer Genome Analysis Suite to include additional tools developed by the Broad Institute for analyzing next-generation sequencing data. A tool for estimating cross-contamination in NGS tumor/normal samples called ContEst has been added to the CGA Suite.


Pacific Biosciences has released updated software, SMRT Analysis v2.1. New features include 10- to 20 times faster and better quality microbial genome assemblies using HGAP 2.0, enhanced bar coding support, consensus calling on diploid samples, BridgeMapper visualization tool for assembly Q/C analysis, support for analysis of data generated using the latest P5C3 chemistry, and more.


Integrated DNA Technologies has launched xGen Universal Blocking Oligos. The oligos help to decrease complexity and increase throughput of target capture experiments for next-generation sequencing without degradation of performance.
