The latest version of the chimpanzee genome is now available here via the University of California, Santa Cruz's Genome Browser FTP server. The October 2010 assembly was produced by the Chimpanzee Sequencing and Analysis Consortium. It covers about 97 percent of the genome to 6-fold coverage with an N50 contig length of 44 kilobases and 33,990 supercontigs with an N50 of 8.4 megabases.
