Epicentre Biotechnologies has launched CircLigase II single-stranded DNA ligase. According to the company, the enzyme efficiently catalyzes the circularization of single-stranded DNA longer than 15 bases with no need for oligo bridges and virtually no linear or circular concatamers being produced.

The ligase, an improved version of the firm's original CircLigase enzyme, is well suited for preparing circular templates from oligos or single-stranded cDNA for rolling-circle replication or rolling-circle transcription assays, according to Epicentre.
