The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute released version 47 of COSMIC, the Catalogue of Somatic Mutations in Cancer, available here. The new release includes six new point-mutated genes with full curation, the full curation of new fusion genes involving the gene ALK, whole gene deletions, and updates on existing curated genes. The release also includes updates from the Cancer Genome Atlas's glioblastoma dataset. COSMIC now includes 2,564,761 experiments, 464,139 tumors, and 20,090 unique mutations.
