He is also the founder of Clarifi, CuraGen, and the Rothberg Institute for Childhood Diseases, and the co-founder and chairman of RainDance Technologies. Rothberg holds MS, MPhil, and PhD degrees in biology from Yale University and a BS in chemical engineering with an option in biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
