Illumina has launched its BeadXpress system, a multiplexing assay system based on the company’s VeraCode digital microbead technology. The BeadXpress offers a two-color laser detection capability that Illumina said is “ideally suited for low- to mid-multiplex experiments.”
Researchers can use the system to assay tens to hundreds of analytes in a single sample at one time in application areas including biomarker research and validation, pharmaceutical development, industrial testing, agriculture, clinical research, and the development of molecular diagnostic assays, Illumina said.
The National Center for Biotechnology Information has released an updated version of UniVec, a non-redundant database of vector sequences. New sequences include 84 complete vector sequences and 36 adaptor, primer, and multiple-cloning site sequences.
