Illumina Certifies Ambry Genetics

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Ambry Genetics said today that it has received certification to conduct sequencing using Illumina's genetic analysis technology.

Ambry said that the CSPro Genome Analyzer certification, which is a collaborative service provider partnership, involves undergoing a two-phase process that includes minimum data generation, data certification, and an on-site audit of the facility and processes.

"We are offering standard GA sequencing services to pharma, clinical and academic research groups, while keeping up with Illumina's technology improvements," Ambry Chief Scientific Officer Anja Kammesheidt said in a statement.

Ambry's lab, which is based in Aliso Viejo, Calif., is CLIA certified.
