NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Hologic today announced that its subsidiary Tepnel Pharma Services achieved customer service provider status in Life Technologies' Ion Torrent Service Provider program on the Ion Personal Genome Machine platform.
Life Tech is a Thermo Fisher Scientific business. To be included in the Ion Torrent CSP program Tepnel personnel were trained and tested "to produce the highest quality sequence data in accordance with pre-prescribed standards and expectations," Hologic said in a statement.
Tepnel will include the Ion Torrent system as part of its molecular genetic services portfolio supporting biomarker discovery studies. The UK-based firm is Hologic's contract research organization and provides pharmaceutical testing and molecular genetic services to support drug development and companion diagnostics development.
