Eurofins to Supply Oligos, Sequencing to UK Shared Business Services

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) — Eurofins Genomics said today that it has inked a two-year contract with the UK Shared Business Services to be a preferred supplier of oligonucleotides and DNA sequencing.

UK SBS, formerly Research Councils UK Shared Services Centre, has been set up by the seven research councils of the UK to provide centralized services to the councils and their institutes in human resources, finance, procurement, information technology, information systems, and grants processing.

Under its agreement with UK SBS, Ebersberg, Germany-based Eurofins will supply both oligonucleotides and DNA sequencing, building on "the long standing relationship developed as a preferred supplier to the research councils for over seven years," Eurofins said in a statement.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
