Eurofins Genomics Receives GLP Certification

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Eurofins Genomics announced today that its DNA sequencing services have received Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certification.

The certification specifically covers DNA sequencing for genotyping and safety testing of genetically modified organisms, microorganisms, viruses, cell banks, and cell lines. The German company noted that it offers both Sanger sequencing and next-generation sequencing services under GLP.

"This GLP certification is one of the highest QM/QA certifications that can be achieved for non-clinical analyses," Peter Persigehl, general manager of Eurofins Genomics Europe, said in a statement, noting that the firm is the first genomic service provider in Germany to have achieved this goal.
