NEW YORK – BioSkryb Genomics said Friday that it has partnered with Tecan to generate a high-throughput workflow for single-cell sequencing library preparation.
Under the deal, the two firms have combined the 384-well format of BioSkryb's ResolveOme Whole Genome and Transcriptome Single-Cell Core kit with Tecan's Uno Single Cell Dispenser platform. The workflow promises to simplify cell isolation, reduce manual handling, and deliver high-quality genomic and transcriptomic sequencing-ready libraries in under 10 hours, according to BioSkryb.
"By reducing the need for complex cell sorting methods like fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) and streamlining the entire multiomic analysis process, researchers can obtain deep genomic and transcriptomic insights with minimal hands-on time," Suresh Pisharody, CEO of Durham, North Carolina-based BioSkryb, said in a statement. "Our partnership with Tecan supports the scalability required to analyze thousands of single cells in a single experiment, expanding the potential for high-resolution biological discovery."
Earlier this week, BioSkryb announced another agreement, under which BioSkryb will combine its chemistry with 1Cell.Ai's cell isolation platform to enable the study of circulating tumor cells and other rare cells.
