Bioron to Distribute GenapSys Sequencing Technology in Germany

NEW YORK – Bioron said on Monday that it will distribute GenapSys' sequencing technology in Germany.

Starting in February, Bioron, based in Römerberg, Germany, will offer GenapSys' sequencing system to customers in academia and industry.

Bioron also sells sample preparation tools for the isolation, amplification, fragmentation, and labeling of DNA that it said are complementary to the GenapSys technology.

The new agreement adds to distribution deals GenapSys signed with more than 25 companies worldwide a year ago.

GenapSys launched its sequencer, which uses sequencing-by-synthesis chemistry and electrical-based CMOS detection, in late 2019.
