BGI Acquires 27 SOLiD 4 Systems from Life Tech | GenomeWeb

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – BGI has acquired 27 SOLiD 4 instruments and will offer human genome sequencing on the platform under a partnership with Life Technologies announced today.

The acquisition will allow BGI, formerly called Beijing Genomics Institute, to sequence 50 whole genomes a month, they said in a joint statement.
