NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Gene-IT will supply its GenomeQuest service to an agricultural technology group that will use it to develop “comprehensive patent landscapes surrounding agricultural biotechnologies,” GeneIT said today.
Under the deal, the Public Intellectual Property Resource for Agriculture will use Gene-IT’s web-based data-integration, -mining, and -analysis tool.
The 42-member PIPRA “helps build bridges between agricultural institutes worldwide” to share IP and relevant research information, said Gene-IT CEO Ronald Ranauro.
Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
