Tekmira to List Shares on Nasdaq


Tekmira Pharmaceuticals this week announced that it plans to file to list its shares on the Nasdaq Stock Market.

Currently, the British Columbia-based company's stock is traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

"We anticipate that listing our common shares on Nasdaq will broaden Tekmira's exposure to leading North American healthcare investors," Tekmira President and CEO Mark Murray said in a statement. "Many of our peers have securities listed in the United States and we believe doing so is a logical step in the evolution of Tekmira to be appropriately valued."
