CytRx President and CEO Steven Kriegsman has received the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award from the Muscular Dystrophy Association in recognition of the company’s effort to develop a small-molecule therapy for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Avalon Pharmaceuticals, a developer of small molecule drugs, has appointed Todd Golub as its chairman and member of its scientific advisory board.
Golub is a founding member of the Broad Institute and serves as director of its cancer program. He is also an associate professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.
