BD Biosciences Clontech recently announced that it has launched RNAi-Ready pSIREN-RetroQ-ZsGreen and pSIREN-DNR-DsRedExpress vectors, which provide fluorescent markers for monitoring the efficacy of gene silencing construct delivery.

Details about the products can be found at http://www.bdbiosciences.com/clontech/archive/JAN04UPD/fluorescent.shtml.

MRC Geneservice recently said that it has introduced a new Drosophila RNA interference library. According to the company, the library encompasses over 90 percent of the Drosophila genome, which translates to more than 13,600 genes.

MRC said that the library complements its C. elegans RNAi library, and that details on both can be found at http://www.geneservice.mrc.ac.uk.

MWG Biotech said this week that it has introduced a web-based siRNA design tool.

The bioinformatic service, the company said, includes a built-in Blast function and allows customers to design their own specific siRNA oligonucleotides.
