Qiagen s QIAamp Media MDx Kit and BioRobot MDx Workstation and Ambion s Amino Allyl MessageAmp II

Premium

Qiagen has recently introduced the QIAamp Media MDx kit.

According to the company, the kit allows for the automatic purification of nucleic acids from liquid media using its BioRobot MDx workstation.

Ambion has launched the Amino Allyl MessageAmp II line of aRNA amplification kits.

According to the company, the kits are an upgrade on its Amino Allyl MessageAmp kit, which integrated amino allyl incorporation and aRNA amplification. The new kit features the inclusion of Cy dyes, said Ambion, and allows for either 20 single-round amplifications or 10 two-round amplifications.

Additionally, the new kits offer greater sensitivity over the older ones due to higher yields of full-length cDNA, said Ambion.

Additional details on the kits can be found at http://www.ambion.com/catalog/CatNum.php?1821.
