Febit said it has released an updated version of its Geniom Biochip, which now contains 58 newly discovered microRNA sequences.
The new sequences were found by deep sequencing in a miRNA discovery study performed on an Applied Biosystems SOLiD 3 sequencing system, Febit said, adding that all 58 miRNAs have been validated using the ABI TaqMan miRNA qRT-PCR assay.
ZyGem said it has launched a line of RNAGem RNA extraction kits.
The kits, the company said, feature an optimized new formulation of its enzymatic technology that uses a single-tube process to provide complete extraction of RNA, including non-coding RNAs and miRNAs.
