Tekmira Pharmaceuticals has appointed Peggy Phillips to its board of directors.

Phillips previously served as a board member and COO of biotech firm Immunex prior to its acquisition by Amgen. She currently sits on the board of Dynavax Technologies.


Regulus Therapeutics has named Martin Beaulieu as head of its newly created microRNA biomarkers division.

Before joining Regulus, Beaulieu held various roles in molecular diagnostics R&D at Abbott Point of Care, DiagnoCure, GenProbe, and Sequenom.
