Alnylam Pharmaceuticals has made a number of changes to its senior management team, hiring Oved Amitay to fill the newly created position of vice president and head of commercial.

Amitay previously served as vice president of strategic development for the personalized genetic health business unit of Genzyme.

The company has also promoted senior vice president and CMO Akshay Vaishnaw to executive vice president and CMO; senior director Jared Gollob to vice president of clinical research; and senior director Lubomir Nechev to vice president of process service.
