Tekmira Pharmaceuticals has appointed Michael Abrams as its chief discovery officer, in charge of drug-discovery efforts at the company.

Abrams previously served as vice president of research and development at CDRD Ventures, and before that was president and CEO of Inimex

Tekmira also said that it has named CSO Ian MacLachlan as executive vice president and chief technical officer in charge of medical countermeasures. In his new role, MacLachlan will handle the expansion of the company's pipeline.
