Opko Health has named Juan Rodriguez as its new senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Rodriguez replaces Rao Uppaluri, who is retiring from the company.

Rodriguez most recently served as a consultant and advisor to software developer Cognitec Systems. He also was previously interim CFO of Kos Pharmaceuticals.


RXi Pharmaceuticals has appointed Jeannette Graf and Leroy Young to its scientific advisory board.

Graf is assistant professor of dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Young serves as director of the BodyAesthetic Research Center.
