Mirna Therapeutics has appointed Alan Venook and Steven Weitman to its scientific advisory board.

Venook is a researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, who specializes in gastrointestinal oncology. He was previously chairman of the National Cancer Institute's Hepatobiliary Task Force.

Weitman is the director of the Institute for Drug Development at the Cancer Therapy & Research Center. He previously served as CMO of Ilex Oncology.
