Marina Biotech has announced a number of organizational changes.

The company said that Richard Ho, previously senior medical director of Entelos, has joined Marina as executive vice president of research and development.

CFO Peter Garcia has resigned and will be replaced by Philip Ranker, formerly CFO of Suneva Medical.

Barry Polisky has stepped down as Marina's CSO and will become a distinguished scientist and chairman of the company's scientific advisory panel. Alan Dunton, who founded pharmaceutical consulting firm Danerius, has been hired as the company's new CSO.

Lastly, Michael Templin, Marina's senior vice president of preclinical development, has been promoted to senior vice president and CTO.
