Addex Pharmaceuticals, a developer of allosteric modulators, has named Bharat Chowrira as its CEO.

Chowrira previously served as senior vice president and COO of Nektar Therapeutics. Before that, he was executive director of worldwide licensing and external research at Merck. He joined Merck after the company acquired Sirna Therapeutics, where Chowrira was vice president of legal affairs and patent counsel.
