Regulus Therapeutics has named Lars Karlsson as its new vice president of immunology and fibrosis.

Most recently, Karlsson was team leader of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development's west coast immunology department. Before that, he was an immunology researcher at the Scripps Research Institute.

He holds a PhD in immunology and an MD from Uppsala University.
