Mersana Therapeutics, which is developing its proprietary Fleximer polymer technology for siRNA delivery, has appointed board member Nicholas Bacopoulos as its president and CEO.

Bacopoulos previously served as president and CEO of Aton Pharma, which was acquired by Merck. Before that, he was president and head of research and development at OSI Pharmaceuticals.

He has a BA from Cornell College and a PhD from the University of Iowa.
