Asuragen said it has appointed Lyle Arnold to its board of directors.

Arnold is currently an independent consultant. He previously served as vice president of research at Gen-Probe. He has also held positions at Molecular Biosystems, Genta, Synteni, and Incyte Genomics.

He holds a BS in chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a PhD in chemistry/biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego.
