EnVivo Pharmaceuticals said that it has appointed Stephen DiPalma as its senior vice president and chief financial officer.

DiPalma was most recently CFO and executive vice president of business operations at RXi Pharmaceuticals.

MDRNA has named June Ameen as its vice president of business development.

In that role, Ameen will handle alliance management, business development, technology evaluation, and strategic-partnering efforts, the company said.

Ameen previously served as vice president of alliance management and, later, vice president of business development and alliances at Entelos. She has an MBA from Babson College and a BSN from Boston College, according to MDRNA.

Rosetta Genomics announced that Amir Avniel will step down as CEO in order to lead the company’s plant/agrobiotech unit Rosetta Green (see related story, this issue).

Avniel’s departure will become effective once the company has found a replacement.
