David Baulcombe, a University of Cambridge professor and Trinity College fellow, was named a Knights Bachelor by Queen Elizabeth II during the Queen’s Birthday Honors this year, according to Cambridge.

Baulcombe received the honor for his work in plant sciences, including his groundbreaking research into small RNA silencing.
