Alnylam Pharmaceuticals announced that CSO John Schmidt is leaving the company, less than a year after he joined the RNAi drugs shop.

Alnylam did not provide a reason for the departure. According to a company filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Schmidt will officially step down on Sept. 30.


RXi Pharmaceuticals said that CFO and Executive Vice President of Business Operations Stephen DiPalma has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

The resignation will be effective Aug. 28, according to a company filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

RXi said it will recruit a new CFO.
