MDRNA has appointed James Karis to its board of directors.

Karis previously served as president and CEO of life sciences firm Entelos. Before that, he held positions with various contract research firms, most recently COO of Parexel and Pharmaco.

He has a BS in management and economics from Purdue University, as well as a masters in applied economics from The American University.
